Jasper AI is a content generation tool for e-commerce, blog posts, landing pages, social media updates, advertisements, and marketing emails. It uses GPT-3 and GPT-4 to generate content.

Jasper offers 50+ out-of-the-box templates for your e-commerce operations. These include frameworks such as:

  • product descriptions
  • blog introductions
  • creative stories
  • Facebook ads
  • video scripts
Jasper AI templates

Pros✅

  • Offers built-in brand voice features
  • For users building out content at scale (e.g., an app landing page with a blog), Jasper’s pre-defined writing frameworks
  • Jasper offers (e.g., role-based access, shared workflows) for teams working together.

Cons ❌

  • Writing sounds generic, poetic, or overly salesy.
  • With custom inputs and brand voice training, Jasper fails to follow complex prompts or reflect unique writing styles.

Real world use cases of Jasper AI:

1. Workflow generation

Integrate Jasper’s workflows into your AI-driven content creation processes to support end-to-end campaign development.

For example, Jasper.ai’s Amazon product description workflow helps users create optimized listings by guiding them through each step, from outlining product features and benefits to embedding relevant keywords:

2. Brand voice customization for product copy

Train Jasper on their brand voice with your existing documents, and generate product descriptions that reflect a consistent tone across their e-commerce SKUs.

Jasper brand voice examples in bullet format:

  • Friendly – “Looking for your new favorite hoodie? We’ve got you.”
  • Minimal – “Crafted in Italy. Designed to last.”
  • Energetic – “Crush your goals. Our gear moves like you do.”
  • Clever – “Your pet’s new favorite snack. Yours too, if you’re curious.”

3. Digital shelf optimization

Use the visual guidelines feature to ensure that AI-generated images stay consistent with your brand’s design standards. Jasper can generate campaign visuals based on your product guidelines, without requiring constant manual design intervention.

Copy.ai started as a tool focused on marketers but has since evolved into a broader solution for sales and marketing teams. Today, the homepage calls it a “GTM AI Platform,” reflecting this expanded focus.

While these GTM-oriented features can be valuable for marketers, this review primarily focuses on its content creation tools. What set it apart early on was the free-form writing sidebar, where users could paste, refine, and rework AI-generated text until they had the ideal version for blog posts or social media.

Copy AI is cheaper than Jasper AI and offers more templates for short-form content. In some cases, it produces stronger copy for social media posts and email campaigns.

Copy.ai dashboard8

Copy.ai offers over 90 content templates to create sales copy, digital ad copy, and e-commerce product descriptions for your e-commerce brand.

9

Pros ✅

  • Useful for basic tone alignment (e.g., making copy sound casual vs. formal)
  • Supports over 25 languages for multilingual teams
  • Its Chatsonic module includes real-time search capabilities
  • Offers access to multiple AI models (GPT-4, Claude) without needing separate subscriptions.

Cons ❌

  • While you can specify tone, Writesonic doesn’t deeply learn unique brand style over time like Jasper’s Brand Voice or Copy.ai’s custom training
  • Content can sound overly poetic or generic in tone
  • Brand Voice customizations may not reflect complex writing styles
  • Chatbot sometimes struggles with complex prompts

Real world use cases of Copy.ai:

1. Brand voice generation

You can set up your brand voice by pasting a paragraph from something you’ve written that reflects your tone.

In this example, the generated content didn’t reflect my style. Blogs I created with Copy.ai sounded overly salesy.

I experimented by writing another sample. While this gave me a different voice, the output remained formulaic. Brand Voice is a promising feature, but it could improve work to truly reflect personal tones.

2. Custom workflow generation

In addition to its library of pre-made workflows—available under the Workflows and Operating Systems tabs- Copy.ai also lets you create custom workflows from scratch.

10

In this example, when Copy.ai is asked to build a workflow to extract the value propositions of a target company, Copy.ai:

  1. Generated the input for the company’s URL.
  2. Scraped the website’s content. If content is difficult to extract, you can increase the scraping strength to Ultra.
  3. Set the extracted data to an AI model to analyze and extract the company’s core value proposition.
  4. Generated the output.

If you’re looking to generate Google Ads copy, product descriptions, CTAs, or other short-form marketing content, Writesonic is likely your best option. It uses GPT-3.5 or GPT-4 (depending on plan).

Pros✅

  • Generating filler or non-indexed content for internal portals or sandbox environments

Cons❌

  • Lack of bulk product description capabilities
  • Doesn’t support prompt customization
  • No direct integration with Shopify or CMS platforms
  • No brand voice tuning or templates
  • Chatsonic mobile app is only available on Android

Real world use cases of Writesonic:

1. Brand voice generation

You can paste a link to your website, input sample text, or upload a file, and Writesonic will generate a matching brand voice.

2. Content generation with templates

Writesonic’s interface is centered on templates tailored to different content types.  You can create a wide range of e-commerce content, including SEO-optimized product titles, detailed product descriptions, and category page copy. Here is an overview of the Writesonic content generator:

3. AI image generation

Writesonic’s AI image generator, Photosonic, is an add-on for basic image generation use cases. When it integrates with Stable Diffusion or DALL·E, the overall image quality tends to fall short compared to dedicated AI art tools. Each image creation costs 200 premium words.

13

4. Using research tools

Writesonic’s Chatsonic feature integrates directly with Google Search Console (GSC), enabling access to real-time information that can be incorporated into your content.
